Burris not to be charged

It's unfortunate that "Senator" Burris won't be charged with perjury.

Perjury, i.e., lying under oath, is and should be a serious offense. The job of a court is hard enough without witnesses lying to it.

The one positive is that the 2010 Illinois Senate election should have good candidates on both sides of the aisle to replace Burris.
