Don't get a default judgment

I've seen too many litigants get default judgments against them. What is a default judgment, you may ask? Essentially, it's letting the other side win without even having to prove their case.

The most common reason litigants receive default judgments against them is by ignoring a lawsuit. IGNORING A LAWSUIT DOES NOT MAKE IT GO AWAY!

If you've been sued, you owe it to yourself to at least consult with an attorney to determine what rights and liabilities you face. The Swanson Firm defends people sued in Illinois in breach of contract cases, real estate and condominium litigation, and debt collection case, among others. Don't just give up, talk to a lawyer who'll fight for you.
