The town of Morton Grove became famous as the first community in America to ban handguns, back in 1981. However, in the aftermath of the Supreme Court's ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller, the ban was dropped.
Now, the Seventh Circuit has ruled Chicago and Oak Park's ban on hand-guns is constitutional. It will be interesting to see if the newly-elected Action Party seeks to reinstate the ban, or if they wait to see if the Supreme Court will take the case.
